Plumbing Service
Technician
Employment type: Full-time

The South Shore Plumbing Service Technician has 2 to 5 years (minimum) experience as a service technician.  Must have experience with residential plumbing repairs, water supply, drain cleaning and repair sewer lines, water heater installation, gas line installation, and fixture repair. 

 

Must be willing to work service basis on 24 hr call two weeks on two weeks off.  Almost all service work is in the normal duty day; must be able and willing to handle emergent needs.  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Sewer machines (power snakes)

  • Sewer and drain jetting

  • Rigid See Snake camera system (or similar)

  • Knows how to use manometer and multi-meter

  • Roof work possible for vent system cleaning/inspections

  • Backflow preventer certification a plus

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must provide basic tools; company will provide specialized/large tools

  • Works well with a diverse group of people

  • Strong work ethic and moral character

  • Must meet and maintain South Shore Plumbing minimum insurance requirements

  • Prior military experience a plus

  • Higher end residential plumbing fixture knowledge a plus

 

This position requires

  • Successful completion of a drug screening

  • This position requires a successful MVR check

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Able to legally work in the United States
