Plumbing Service
Lead Technician
Employment type: Full-time

The Plumbing Service Lead Technician has 10 or more years experience as a service technician.  Must have experience with residential plumbing repairs, water supply, drain cleaning and repair sewer lines, water heater installation, gas line installation, and fixture repair. 

 

Must be willing to work service basis on 24 hr call two weeks on two weeks off.  Almost all service work is in the normal duty day; must be able and willing to handle emergent needs. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Calibrate & Troubleshoot Thermostatic Mixing Valves such as Dornbracht, Rohl, and Hansgrohe

  • Troubleshoot Digital Thermostatic Valves such as Kohler DTV

  • Troubleshoot Steam Shower Systems such as Thermasol, Steamist, and Mr. Steam

  • Troubleshoot Toilet/Bidet Combination Units such as Toto Neorest and DXV SpaLet

  • Troubleshoot Wall-Mount Toilets with In-Wall Carriers such as Geberit, Toto, and Kohler

  • Troubleshoot Gas Tankless Water Heaters with Built-In Recirculating Pump such as Navien and Rinnai

  • Backflow preventer certification a plus

 

Occasionally assist and supervise junior technicians with the following:

  • Sewer machines (power snakes)

  • Sewer and drain jetting

  • Rigid See Snake camera system (or similar)

  • Roof work possible for vent system cleaning/inspections

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with high end residential clients

  • Must provide basic tools; company will provide specialized/large tools

  • Works well with a diverse group of people

  • Strong work ethic and moral character

  • Must meet and maintain South Shore Plumbing minimum insurance requirements

 

This position requires

  • Successful completion of a drug screening

  • This position requires a successful MVR check

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Able to legally work in the United States

  • Prior military experience a plus
